Given three wishes I’m sure we would all want an Aston Martin DB5, a house on Lake Como and World Peace. However, the freedom I would like to discuss today is of a nature much closer to home. It’s an issue that has had men in a bind since the not so swinging sixties...

It is of course the greatest silent debate of our generation - Boxers vs. Briefs?



They both have their attributes. For example this fine pair of boxer shorts from a rather distinguished men’s haberdashery in New York, is certainly elegant, extremely comfortable and somewhat sophisticated. But I’d be the first to admit, probably not sexy.



Then you have this fine specimen, kindly donated by a dear pal of mine, Mr. Tottman, a pair of ball cupping, tackle taming briefs. Affectionately known by friends and strangers alike as ‘The Rods’.

Medically, the boxer is ‘supported’ by a multitude of attributes including increased sperm count and Calvin Klein has certainly made the brief the choice of ‘The Beautiful People’.

But in the spirit of true democracy, it’s not about what I think. It’s about what you - the people think.

So, which side do you hang?
