Getting Hammered

The oldest thing in the shop has nothing to do with the closet full of vintage motorcycle skeletons. Lo and behold, it's the hammer. Based on discoveries in Kenya in 1969, the most accurate assumption we can make about the hammer is that it was invented by some nameless man (or chimpish man) about 2,600,000 years ago. The last ride on Chris Burden’s “The Big Wheel” at MOCA

This past Saturday Stacie London kickstarted the 68 Benelli one last time before it and “The Big Wheel” return to storage.

I spent the weekend with Tommy Mose Abbott, a long time friend/painter/artist/musician, tooling around LA checking out numerous art openings and helping him get prepared for his move to Austin, Tx. It was nice to see some good art after a long hiatus, and Saturday night was a great conclusion.
